We invite all members and non-members to attend the Sustainable Upper Ovens Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday, 2 February, from 2-4pm at the Bright Brewery Brewhouse.
This past year has been one of growth and impact for our organisation, and we are excited to share the highlights of our progress with you. Over the past year, we have successfully:
– Built stronger partnerships with local government, power retailers, and like-minded organisations
– Continued to engage the community in sustainability practices, from reducing waste to transitioning to renewable energy
– Supported local initiatives that promote a greener, more sustainable future
We’ve also made significant strides in advocating for policy changes at the regional and national level and have seen many of our members take action in their own homes—whether that’s installing solar panels, embracing energy-efficient systems, or choosing electric vehicles. These successes wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our volunteers and supporters like you.
At the AGM, we will also discuss the projects and opportunities that lie ahead for Sustainable Upper Ovens. Some of the key initiatives we’ll be focusing on in the coming year include:
– Expanding our community education programs on sustainability
– Collaborating on local clean energy projects
– Advocating for further policy changes in support of a greener future
This is an important meeting where all office bearer positions will be declared vacant, and we will also be discussing a special resolution on whether these positions should be elected by the committee moving forward. It’s a great opportunity for you to get involved, share your thoughts, and help shape the future of our organisation!
