Alpine Unwrapped is promoting the uptake of reusable cups and containers for takeaway food, drink and produce in our community. We encourage hospitality businesses to accept reusable cups and containers and promote those that do. Our aim is to generate a culture within our community that expects, encourages and supports single use alternatives for locals and visitors alike.

This important event was held on the 26th March, organised by Sustainable Upper Ovens and Toward Renewable Energy Kiewa (TREK). The many presentations informed us on how to build different kinds of resilience for our community and reduce our carbon footprint. If you missed any or all of the sessions they were recorded live on the day.

About Sustainable Upper Ovens

Sustainable Lifestyles in the Upper Ovens Valley

Sustainable Upper Ovens is an organisation aimed at helping householders, small businesses and visitor service providers to adopt improved energy efficiency measures, switch to renewable energy and maximise opportunities to reduce, reuse and recycle our resources. The Upper Ovens Valley covers a considerable part of the upper catchment of the Ovens River, from Ovens through Porepunkah and Bright to Germantown, Freeburgh, Smoko and Harrietville, incorporating the Buckland Valley and Wandiligong Valley. Sustainable Upper Ovens is the umbrella organisation for a number of vibrant local community groups in the Upper Ovens Valley whose focus is on different aspects of living sustainably.
