Public Meeting

The next Sustainable Upper Ovens Public Meeting will be held 4pm Saturday February 24 at the Bright Community Centre. All welcome to attend.

Our recent Community Carbon Action Field Day featured presentations from leading experts in the renewable energy, environment, passive housing, electrificiation and biodiversity industries. Their presentations featured some excellent tips on how we as individuals or business owners, can take practical steps to reduce our carbon footprint. These presentations were filmed and are available as a resource for the local community (and beyond) to access. Find the videos here.

About Sustainable Upper Ovens

Sustainable Lifestyles in the Upper Ovens Valley

Sustainable Upper Ovens is an organisation aimed at helping householders, small businesses and visitor service providers to adopt improved energy efficiency measures, switch to renewable energy and maximise opportunities to reduce, reuse and recycle our resources. The Upper Ovens Valley covers a considerable part of the upper catchment of the Ovens River, from Ovens through Porepunkah and Bright to Germantown, Freeburgh, Smoko and Harrietville, incorporating the Buckland Valley and Wandiligong Valley. Sustainable Upper Ovens is the umbrella organisation for a number of vibrant local community groups in the Upper Ovens Valley whose focus is on different aspects of living sustainably.
