The Hume Community Power Hub is hosting a Community Energy forum which is open to all and is a free event.
Date: Friday February 18
Time: 10am – 4:30pm
Venue: Beechworth Memorial Hall or online via Zoom
The forum is a chance for community members to learn how to deliver renewable energy projects in their own communities, and all community renewable energy participants are invited to attend.
The forum will include experts in community-scale batteries, the future of the electricity grid, as well as sessions on electric vehicles and pumped hydro energy storage. The focus will be on how our region can seize new renewable energy opportunities. Speakers at the forum include:
- Marnie Shaw (ANU)
- Michael Mazengarb (RenewEconomy)
- Cathy McGowan AO (Former Member of the Australian Parliament)
- Tim Shue (Yarra Energy Foundation/Metropolitan Melbourne Community Power Hub)
- Matthew Charles-Jones (Mondo)
- Russell Klose (Kilowatt Cars)
Come along, get inspired and find out how we can power our communities with 100% renewable energy!

The forum is free and catered but due to COVID density requirements there is a cap of approximately 90 people. You can also join over Zoom if you don’t want to join in-person.
