Many of you will have heard of Indigo Power. The community owned, social enterprise and electricity retailer works closely with towns across North East Victoria and Southern New South Wales, building community energy hubs and clean energy generation and storage infrastructure to supply hubs with locally sourced renewable energy.
In 2020 they launched their electricity supply offer and have partnered with over 20 community energy groups, like ourselves, to deliver clean energy solutions, and local renewable generation and storage.
Indigo Power’s electricity supply business has grown to a customer base of over 1000, and their ability to connect local customers to local sources of power saw them ranked as one of Australia’s greenest electricity providers in Greenpeace Australia’s 2021 Green Energy Guide.
In 2021 Indigo Power launched their energy sharing software. And they also built Australia’s first community owned solar and battery system in Yackandandah, connecting local customers with locally stored renewable energy.
As a certified social enterprise, Indigo Power is community owned, locally operated and has committed to returning 50% of profits to clean energy and community projects in our towns.
After a successful public share offer in 2020, the time has come for Indigo Power to strengthen its capital base to enable its work to continue and to grow its community of passionate supporters invested in their success.

Why should we invest in Indigo Power?
Community power has a big impact.
Indigo Power has won funding to take our energy storage capacity to the next level, replicating what they have done in Yackandandah in towns across North East Victoria and Southern New South Wales. They are also working on how to deliver a pumped hydro energy storage project in the Upper Murray.
As a shareholder, you’ll be helping Indigo Power deliver more renewable energy to more communities.
Indigo Power’s plans for the future
Improve customer service
Supplying customers with clean energy is the core of Indigo Power’s business. They will improve customer service, continue to offer competitive pricing, and ensure customers have access to more renewable energy.
Reach more customers
Indigo Power wants to invest in making their service available to a bigger market, expanding to supply customers across all of New South Wales and Victoria.
Resilient communities
Indigo Power has developed more services, building a project management team that is delivering renewable energy projects valued at almost $6,000,000.
Indigo Power is working with Upper Murray Incorporated to build energy resilience in their community following the devastation of the Black Summer Bushfires. Indigo Power are creating resilient communities by installing community batteries at local hospitals and evacuation centres, and smaller energy nodes to provide backup power at critical community services.
Indigo powered electric vehicles
Soon, Indigo Power will begin supplying clean energy to electric vehicle drivers, with their first Indigo Power-operated EV charging station.
Let’s power our communities with 100% renewable energy.
